ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø has recently signed a contract with DuluxGroup to design and construct a new innovation driven, water based paint Manufacturing Plant. Dulux engaged Vaughans under an ECI (Early Contractor Involvement) arrangement to explore all available options and technologies available.
DuluxGroup's Paints and Coatings business is the leading manufacturer and marketer of premium branded decorative paints, texture coatings, protective coatings, powder coatings and woodcare coatings for housing, commercial construction, infrastructure and industrial markets. The new factory will make almost all of the business’ water based decorative paints for the Australian market.
The company’s resolute commitment to world class quality and efficiency, coupled with the necessity to diversify manufacturing risk, was the catalyst to partner with Vaughans on a global pursuit to design a facility that would set up the world class Dulux paints business for decades to come.
The approximately 20,000m2 facility will be located in Melbourne’s north and is due for completion in the latter half of 2017. It will be the largest coatings plant in Australia and New Zealand with capacity in excess of 100 million litres per year, which is approximately double Dulux’s current sales volume. It will incorporate an automated production process and will further strengthen Dulux’s product quality, innovation, customer service and cost competitiveness.
