Leading full line wholesale pharmacy and distribution specialist, Sigma Healthcare is set to create over 100 jobs during the construction of their new Canning Vale Distribution Centre.
Ground was broken late last week to mark the start of construction of the new 15,000m2 facility, at an official sod turning ceremony.
Fully equipped with advanced material handling systems to significantly improve order fulfilment and distribution operations, Sigma’s new $60 million facility will provide Western Australian pharmacies, hospitals and other healthcare providers improved service and
greater access to medications.
Part of a major investment program for Sigma as the company upgrades its national distributions network, CEO and Managing Director, Mark Hooper stated “this is a significant investment by Sigma Healthcare which outlines the company’s commitment to servicing the vital healthcare needs of patients across Western Australia. This facility will service pharmacies across the state from Kununurra, over 3,000km north to Esperance, a further 700km south and everywhere in between.”
Appointed under an Design and Construct contract ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø anticipate the project build will generate over 100 jobs during construction up to mid 2018.

Servicing over 4,000 national pharmacies with over 15,000 product lines daily, Sigma Healthcare also has the largest footprint of banded pharmacies in Australia, including; Amcal, Guardian, PharmaSave, Chemist King and Discount Drug Stores.
