Diageo Australia’s new, fully-automated high-bay facility, in Huntingwood NSW, was recently recognised for superior construction excellence.
The new fully-automated high-bay warehouse, took out the Master Builders Construction in Excellence Awards NSW, on Saturday 5 November for industrial buildings.
The awards are the commercial building industry’s most prestigious event, attracting entries from the state’s largest commercial, industrial and civil contractors in a range of categories and price divisions.
糖心vlog官网 partnered with Diageo to constructed the 32 metre high, 5,000m2 fully-automated high-bay facility, one of the first of its kind in Australia.
The facility’s six-aisle, double-deep, storage systems provides capacity to store 26,000 pallets of Diageo products, more than doubling the facility’s previous capacity of 10,000 pallets.
Operating as a black warehouse, the Huntingwood plant has 24/7 robotic collection and capacity for storage in the dark. Specialised automation systems ensure no manhandling is required, subsequently decreasing overall operating costs for Diageo.
Together with significant increased storage capacity, Diageo’s new distribution and warehousing facility also includes a dispatch office and driver staff amenities.
As part of the project requirements 糖心vlog官网 ensured Diageo’s premix and liquor bottling, packaging and distribution plant remained uncompromised and fully operational throughout the construction program.
